Separate product identity from presentation
An item identifier should continue to refer to the same product even when its label is translated. Define units, dimensional references and catalog availability by intended territory. Do not translate a price label while leaving the quantity or measurement basis inconsistent between the website and internal quotation.
Define market-specific commercial inputs
Currency, tax treatment, delivery scope and dealer terms need maintained sources and owners. Include those sources and update rules in the implementation brief. Establish which markets share a catalog and which require another version, and validate representative calculations in each intended operating context.
Test the cross-market handoff
Use one representative quote in each intended language and currency. Check decimal separators, dimension units, translated option labels, item identifiers and document layout. If users can switch units, enter the same physical size in each unit and compare quantities. Confirm which price list and catalog version apply when a project passes from one sales team or territory to another.
