Define the carport geometry
Define overall width, projection, vehicle clearance and bay count separately. A two-bay layout needs the permitted post positions and clear access width for each bay; scaling a single-bay image is not enough. Record the manufacturer's roof slope, drainage arrangement and attachment options. Use a sample vehicle-access brief to review how posts, gutters and adjoining walls affect the selection.
Connect roof choices to the quote
Separate roof panels, glazing or a proposed solar package from the frame price. Establish which components each selection requires and how they are measured. Require the selected carport and quote to identify the same roof and component set, with delivery and installation listed according to your offer.
Test changes across the whole project
Validate a standard bay, a larger permitted layout and an accessory-heavy design against checked quantities and prices. Changing a roof should update affected components, not merely its appearance. Agree the PDF and downstream component data your operation needs, and identify which site and engineering checks remain prerequisites before order release.
