Find the repeated product decision
Start with one range that sales repeatedly prices or redraws. List the inputs, compatibility checks, quantities, commercial approvals and documents used today. Record where information is copied between tools and who corrects mistakes. This gives the implementation a measurable operating problem instead of a broad instruction to digitize everything.
Choose authoritative data owners
A product limit, item identifier, price and customer record may come from different sources. Name the owner of each and agree when changes reach the sales workflow. For example, the technical team may own dimension limits while the commercial team owns prices. Record how each source reaches the proposed workflow and how an update is checked.
Prove a complete pilot
Choose one recent order with a checked quotation. Recreate its specification, price it, issue the proposed document and pass it to the next person. Then change an option, update a price and submit an invalid combination. Record which fields are re-entered and whether the outputs remain consistent. Expand after the first range has an owner for data changes and a repeatable acceptance check.
