Furniture modules, materials and configuration

A furniture configurator needs a clear relationship between layout choices, manufacturing constraints and the quoted specification.

Define the modular arrangement

Identify permitted units, widths, heights and arrangement rules within the furniture range. Record how doors, drawers, supports and adjoining units depend on the selected layout. Free positioning and manufacturer-valid assembly are different requirements; choose the behavior needed by buyers and internal teams before creating the product interface.

Explain material and hardware choices

Record finish, surface, handle and internal-fitting identifiers for each permitted module. A wider cabinet may change its door or drawer arrangement; a corner layout may need fillers or adjoining clearances. Identify which choices add components and which change only material or finish. Price the resulting item set and show the selected identifiers in the specification so the showroom and estimating team use the same choices.

Validate a complete commercial example

Test a standard arrangement, a dimensional boundary and a layout with multiple accessories against approved quantities and prices. Define what the customer quote and internal handoff must show. Any production documents or connected-system exports need agreed formats and acceptance checks; a polished room scene alone does not demonstrate that delivery scope.
