Industrial product configuration requirements

Structure the supplied options and dependencies for an industrial range before automating quantities and quotation outputs.

· Configurix

Describe the selection requirements

Build a requirements sheet for one industrial range. Separate the buyer's required duty or operating conditions from catalog properties and any calculations your engineers perform. If power supply, connection size or another parameter determines a variant, document the permitted values and dependent components. Route a request outside those values to review with its original requirements retained.

Trace the chosen commercial specification

Map selected options to stable item identifiers, quantities and approved price rules. Keep engineering exceptions and commercial approvals explicit. Name the system or reviewer responsible for each calculation and approval. Define the record crossing each system boundary.

Test changes and required documents

Choose standard, boundary and exception examples that your technical and commercial teams can approve. Reconcile the specification and quote before testing integrations. Required BOMs, drawings, production information or machine outputs must be scoped and verified for the implementation rather than inferred from a general configurator capability.
