Define the quotation inputs
Use the actual product range, dimension references, roof and enclosure layout, accessories and installation inclusions. Record measurements requiring site verification. A quick product selection and a releasable installed-price proposal have different prerequisites, particularly when mounting or access information remains unresolved.
Test the commercial workflow
Prepare three test briefs: an open-sided unit, a design with enclosure and a project with delivery or access questions. Use your GBP price list, defined measurement units and checked quotes. Time specification entry, line review, approval and document issue separately. A changed configuration should be included in the test because revising a proposal can involve different work from preparing the first one.
Report the time honestly
State whether the measurement covers selection, price preparation, commercial approval or issue. Include realistic device and user conditions and separate technical exceptions. Use several representative quotes and repeat the comparison after catalog changes before making a time claim for your team's process.
